Coronation Street fans ‘rumbled’ the real person who killed Lisa Swain’s wife Becky – and it wasn’t Mason’s brothers.

Lisa (Vicky Myers) made her debut on the soap back in 2021 – with troublemaker daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) appearing for the first time earlier this year.

While she has never appeared on screen, Lisa’s wife and fellow police officer, Becky died while on duty. According to Lisa, Becky was chasing an assailant, who jumped into a getaway car. Tragically, they mowed her down, with Becky dying at the scene.

Amid Lisa’s new romantic journey with Carla Connor (Alison King), last month, she made a shocking discovery about her wife’s death: that thug brothers Matty (Seamus McGoff) and Logan (Harry Lowbridge) were involved.

Earlier this month, their other brother Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) decided to help Lisa bring down his evil brothers. Lisa showed Mason photographs from the crime scene of her late wife Becky’s death.

She disclosed that his brothers Matty and Logan were behind the wheel of the car that hit Becky, and Mason decided to take action. After retrieving a piece of evidence to arrest his brothers, the siblings were released from prison as sadly the evidence wasn’t enough to keep them at the station.

Things then took a harrowing turn when Matty and Logan chased down Mason and ended up stabbing him – with Mason later dying. Matty has since been arrested and is expected to be charged for the murder of Mason. Logan meanwhile, is currently on the run.

However, in what would be a huge twist, viewers are convinced Mason’s brothers didn’t actually murder Becky. Instead, they reckon it was someone very close to Lisa.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, fans now suspect bent copper Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) played a part in Becky’s death. Kit rocked up to the cobbles last year – and has caused plenty of drama since.

“I’m now thinking BECKY Lisa’s ex was 100% onto Kit’s dodgy dealings and bent copper antics and had evidence to bring him down, so he killed her,” said one person.

Someone else added: “Yep, I thought the same.” A third chimed in: “Kit said to Lisa in an earlier episode that Becky was one of the best. So he must know her.” Another fan wrote: “Yes! What a theory!!!!!”
